Where To Get Surfboard Socks

By Janet Perry

Surfing is indeed a quintessential hobby for all the beach babies out there. Really, though, whats not to love about that sense of inner peach balance with being an ephemeral water strider. The beauty, the thrill, and the exhilaration brought about by this sport really cant be beat. Well, you know you wont be able to delve into this sport if you dont have a surfing board, and of course, the surfboard socks that go with it.

Just another thing to buy. You might be asking yourself, why in the world would you need a board bag. Well, were sorry, but you would have to ask a more reasonable question than that.

After all, no one can tame the sea. Its tempestuousness and its overwhelming energy have leverage, every time, over the tiny pinpricks that are the boards and their riders. Well, what do you do. You make the surfboard as lightweight and as maneuverable as possible.

After all, because of the need for maneuverable and lightweight implements, your surfboard is not exactly diamond hard, right. In fact, though it may seem counterintuitive to the use its being put upon, your board is actually surprisingly delicate. Even a slight scratch from your grumpy cat or the average rays from the sun are enough to relegate it to purgatory.

Its also lightweight, so you dont even know its there. You just know its there because when Fido came barraging at it, it wasnt even damaged. Or when Garfield swiped at it with all his feline rudeness, not a scratch was to be seen. With its trusty padded protection, you really can never go wrong. It fits your board according to proportions, so its not bulky to carry around.

When you skate over the necessity of getting a surf sock, then you really will be sorry for it. A surfboard is a considerable investment, all right, and if you are a normal, workaday person, then you probably want it to last longer than possible. But then, all the elements are against you. Its not only the momentum of the sea, or the jutting outcrops from the seascape, but theres quite a lot seemingly banal household thingamajigs that can bode ill to your precious board as well.

Given the relative length and width of the board, it is not exactly a far call for the possibility of knocking it around narrow halls or tight doorways, right. Or perhaps you have a furry canine that loves chewing and mauling things, surfboard not excluded. Or perhaps its a furry feline who thought that upright thingamabob leaning against the wall was a scratching post you so thoughtfully provided.

Even something as seemingly innocuous as the sun can harm your baby, we mean your board. That might seem a crazy idea, seeing how surfing equals the beach, and the beach equals the sun, and of course, the latter will always be a quintessential part in this equation. However, we arent talking tosh here, and really, the ultraviolet rays from the brightest star will delaminate and blister your gear. The best you can do is to insulate your board in its sock, which creates a nifty micro climate that cocoons it from harsh UV rays.

It does not take a genius to arrive at the solution. Get yourself a well padded surf bag. It does well in insulating your surfboard against the hard knocks of just about anything, and throw in protection from the unforgiving elements, like the rays and heat of the sun. Really, you wont regret it.
